event planning
Inspired by a genuine desire to connect with and guide those just starting their journey, these two projects reflected a side of me that goes beyond the desk — a leader who shows up, plans ahead, and brings people together.

problem
Project 1: Year 1 students had limited visibility into what the HR specialisation entailed, making it harder for them to make informed decisions about their academic path — and CareerLink needed a team that could change that meaningfully, on a shoestring budget. Project 2: Student welfare during a demanding internship period was at risk of being overlooked. Without a structured outlet for rest, fun, and team bonding, morale and cohesion among CareerLink students could quietly suffer.
solution
Project 1: A well-planned, engaging booth experience — complete with thoughtfully designed materials, a clear program flow, and confident peer-to-peer promotion — that brought the HR specialisation to life for Year 1 students in a relatable and memorable way. A post-event reflection capturing what went well and what could be improved ensured the experience would only get better over time. Project 2: A structured Games Day proposal and execution plan that prioritised student welfare through carefully selected activities — turning a single day into a meaningful reset that reminded everyone that people come before productivity.
The first was a team effort with real stakes. CareerLink Team 1 was selected to represent the HR specialisation to Year 1 Business Management students — and we had just $20 and one shot to make it count.
I rolled up my sleeves and got to work: planning the booth layout, sourcing materials, designing the information board, and coordinating the day's activities. Standing in front of our juniors, speaking confidently about a field I had grown to love, was a moment that sharpened both my conviction and my communication.
The second was entirely mine to own. As Games Day OIC, I was entrusted with planning a day of activities designed to look after the welfare of my fellow CareerLink students.
From writing the proposal to coordinating every activity on the day itself, I made sure each moment was intentional, well-executed, and genuinely enjoyable — because I believed that a team that feels valued, performs better.
